How long is a Post Conviction Relief Case?
The truth is that I can't give you a clear answer. The reason why is that we're asking of court, the prosecutor, the judge, as a favor. So the first thing is when somebody has your future in their hands, we really don't wanna piss them off by putting too much pressure on courts are already overworked and stretched very thin in terms of their workload.
The second thing is also regarding payment. We will have a payment structure laid out for you that includes tiers, and we wanna make sure that you understand that we will only move on to the next level of the case once the next payment has been made. Now, that's not to say that we're only working for the money.
The reality is that we are trying to be as fair as possible. Because at any point in this process, we might hit a roadblock that we can't get past, and we don't wanna charge you any more money at that point. So we'll talk about that more as part of the contract process, but just to understand, you have to be patient.
These cases can take from months to sometimes years, but promise you. We have your best interest in mind, and we're gonna be as aggressive as we possibly can to give you the best future possible. Your best friend on your worst day.
