DOUG ROHAN

Attorney, Owner

Doug Rohan began his legal career working for several insurance defense firms, representing insurance companies. He learned how they value claims, when they stall, and why they deny. Then he switched sides. In 2011 he founded Rohan Law to represent injured workers and people accused of crimes, and insurance adjusters across Georgia have been a little less relaxed ever since.

Today Doug serves as President of the Georgia Injured Workers’ Advocates (GIWA). He has practiced law in Georgia since 2000, has been selected to Super Lawyers (2020–2023 and 2026–2027), and has helped clients recover more than $20 million in workers’ compensation cases and more than $35 million in personal injury cases.*Every case is different. Results depend on the specific facts and law of each case, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

The son of a Cuban-born mother, Doug speaks fluent Spanish, and so does his entire team. Whether a client is more comfortable in English or Spanish, nobody at Rohan Law needs an interpreter to understand what they’ve been through. When Atlanta news needs someone to explain what a legal story means for ordinary families, Doug is a frequent commentator on FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB-TV Channel 2. He has also spends time at the Capitol educating members of the Georgia House of Representatives on the legal impacts of legislation on injured workers and common-sense immigration reform.

Doug is a licensed private pilot, a skill he uses to reach clients beyond metro Atlanta and, occasionally, for missions that make the news. In 2019, when rapper 21Savage was released from immigration detention in south Georgia, Doug was the pilot who flew him home to Atlanta. TMZ covered the flight. They left out the pilot. We won’t.

An English literature graduate of Florida State University, Doug believes every case is a story, and that neither the insurance company nor the prosecutor should be the ones who write the ending. He married Julia in 2000, the same year he graduated from law school and became a Georgia lawyer, so he never has to wonder which anniversary it is. When he isn’t in a courtroom or a cockpit, you’ll find him on a date with Julia or being outvoted by their three daughters, who, as he’ll tell you, totally own him.
